  3. From the trailers it seems like it should be a decent movie. Probably going to be a little bit on the mild side though.

  4. yeah, im wondering if it'll be gory enough. i mean the whole plot of the book is about children slaughtering each other. it's pretty dark. from the trailers it looks like a freaking disney movie.

  5. Do you like the cast?
I'm so-so with the cast, some I like others I'm not so sure about. However, I know the people who were cast for the roles will eventually grow on me. To be honest, I was expecting Peeta to look different. This is not to say I think Josh will be a bad Peeta, I was just expecting someone different. I think the girl who is playing Rue is a good match!

    Do you like the posters?
The posters were "meh" to me. I felt as though the posters should have been designed differently, to give it that appearance that would make a person point to it and say "That looks really good! I wouldn't mind seeing that." But that's my opinion. I did noticed how Katniss was the only one facing a different direction from the other characters.

Do you think there will be too much violence or not enough?
To be honest, I think the violence will be extremely watered down. In no way will the movie be like Battle Royale's movie, which was filled with gore (from what I heard). I just can't see this movie being as dark as the theme was in the book. I could be wrong, but judging from the trailers I highly doubt it.

Will it be as good as the book?
This is something I have been wondering for quite some time now. Since the series covers Katniss point of view, the movie would probably be focused on her a lot. However, there will be a lot of changes. That's one thing I am sure of. I honestly think this might be one of the "Movies of the Year" because it is one of the most anticipated movies to come out so far~!

  7. The cast is ok. I'm not completely wowed. The best cast for a book to movie for me is Harry Potter. Flawless.

I like the posters. A few wowed me but posters don't matter if the movie sucks. So I hope they did a good job.

Violence? The whole book is based on the systematic elimination of children in a televised fight to the death. So hell yeah there'll be plenty of violence. Though they still have age constraints of course.

I doubt it, it's hard to capture the magic from books. But I still think it will be a very good movie.

Thanks for reviewing my blog Amanda and glad to meet another Hunger Games fan.

    1. and thanks for commenting, QueendSheena. i rarely see a movie that is better than its book. I think thats because a book has an opportunity to go deeper into the plots/characters. but it would be nice to see someone take an idea from a book and just wow us with the movie. like, if they used their talent to show us more about a character than we could get from the book. that would be cool.
